At Luwjistik, we know how complicated it can be to move B2B shipments by land, whether it's for domestic or cross borders shipments. Hence, we would like to introduce L-Freight Land, a new way to make land freight easier and more efficient.
To help you navigate the process of uploading L-Freight Land orders, we've created this comprehensive guide.
How to Upload a Full Truck-Load (FTL) Order?
FTL, or Full Truckload freight, is a shipping method used for large shipments that occupy an entire truck or nearly all of it. With FTL shipping, your shipment is the only one on the truck, giving you exclusive use of the entire vehicle. This means that the truck is dedicated solely to your freight, ensuring it is transported directly to its destination without sharing space with other shipments.
To upload your FTL order, follow these steps below:
1. Logging In: To access your Luwjistik account, go to Luwjistik.com and click on the login button. Enter your email address and password to log in securely.
2. L-Freight Page: Once logged in, navigate to the L-Freight page. In the L-Freight menu bar, locate and click on the "Trucking List" button to view the available trucking options.
3. Filter Truck List: Narrow down your options by filtering the truck list based on various criteria such as shipment type, transport mode, incoterm, origin-destination country, service type, Vehicle Type, and Schedule. You can start by selecting your shipment type: either Domestic or Crossborder. Then, choose "Transport Mode: Land" and "Load Type: FTL" to initiate the process.
4. Specify the Shipping Incoterms: Once you've settled on how you'll ship, transport, and load your goods, it's time to pick your shipping terms. These terms, known as incoterms, include options like EXW, DDP, and FOB.
EXW: EXW (Ex Works) is a shipping arrangement where the seller makes the product available at a specific location, and the buyer is responsible for all transportation costs. At Luwjistik, the service for this incoterm includes origin pickup, freight, destination customs, and delivery.
DDP: Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) is a shipping arrangement where the seller is responsible for all costs and risks associated with shipping goods until they reach an agreed-upon destination, as specified by the buyer and seller. At Luwjistik, our DDP shipping service covers everything from picking up the goods at the origin, handling the freight, dealing with destination customs, and ensuring delivery to the agreed place.
FOB: Free on Board (FOB) is a shipping term that means the seller is responsible for loading the purchased goods onto the ship and covering all associated costs. Once the goods are safely aboard the vessel, the risk transfers to the buyer, who then assumes responsibility for the rest of the transport.
Note: This FOB incoterm for FTL shipment will soon be available at Luwjistik. |
5. Choose the service type: If you choose FTL cross-border shipment, you can simply select the origin and destination countries without needing to specify the type of service. However, if you choose to ship domestically, you'll need to select your service type: either interstate or within the same city.
Interstate: It refers to the transportation of goods or items between different states within a country. When a logistics company offers interstate services, it means they have the capability to move items across state borders, handling the necessary documentation, regulations, and processes required for shipping between states.
Intercity: It refers to the movement of goods or transportation services between cities. This service is likely focused on fulfilling urban logistics needs, which is for moving items between different parts of a city, but not for moving items between different cities.
6. Select your vehicle: Before you pick your shipment date range for FTL shipping, you need to choose your preferred vehicle type. Different vehicle types come with specific dimensions and weight requirements. Select the appropriate vehicle type based on your shipment's size and weight:

How to Upload a Less-than Truck Load (LTL) Order?
LTL stands for Less-Than-Truckload. It's a method used in shipping where the freight from multiple shippers shares space on a single trailer, instead of each shipper needing an entire trailer for themselves. This helps optimise space and cost efficiency by combining several smaller shipments into one truck, filling it up as much as possible.
If you have a smaller shipment that doesn't need an entire truck, here's what you can do:
3. Filter Truck List: To start your shipment process, first select the "Shipment Type" as well as the "Transport Mode: Land" and "Load Type: LTL" options. Then, streamline your choices by filtering the available trucks. You can filter based on criteria like Incoterm, Country, Service Type, Origin-Destination, Estimated Volume, and Schedule to find the best fit for your needs.
4. Choose your shipping incoterms: Similar to FTL, once you've finalised details about your shipment, including type, mode of transport, and load type, you'll need to specify your shipping incoterms. These incoterms include EXW, DDP, and FOB.
Note: Please note that our FOB incoterm for LTL shipment will soon be available at Luwjistik. |
5. Select your service type: When selecting cross-border shipping, you can simply choose the countries of origin and destination. However, for domestic shipping, you'll also need to specify the type of service you require, such as interstate or intercity, which is similar to the process for FTL shipments.
Note: Please note that our intercity LTL service will soon be available at Luwjistik. |
6. Choose from the Draft: Or, you can continue your order draft by clicking the draft you want to proceed with.
7. Book Truck: Once you've selected the appropriate vehicle, proceed to book the truck for your FTL shipment.
8. Fill in Details: Complete the required information on the Sender, Consignee, Package, and Item Details pages.
You have the option to either provide a new address or select from your existing shipment addresses stored in the address book for the sender and consignee details.
You can also save your progress and continue working on your shipments later by clicking the "Save Draft" button. Click on the "Continue" button to proceed.
We also provide several options for your shipping packaging type, such as:
Cartoons
Pallets
Gunny Bags
Crates

9. Upload Documents: Attach essential documents such as the Invoice, Packing List, and any other relevant paperwork. After that carefully review the shipment details and terms & conditions before submitting your order.
