Introducing Our Modular Service
Updated over a week ago

At Luwjistik, we are excited to present our revolutionary Modular Services, offering you the freedom to design and customise your supply chain according to your specific needs. Therefore, this article provides you with the information you need.

What is Modular?

Modular services, in the context of logistics, refer to a flexible and customisable approach to designing a supply chain. Rather than relying on rigid, one-size-fits-all solutions, modular services empower businesses to pick and choose from a range of service options, assembling a logistics solution that precisely aligns with their unique requirements.

For instance, you can opt for custom clearance and last-mile delivery, custom clearance and freight forwarding, or even last-mile delivery alone. This flexibility ensures you can tailor our services to match your business requirements, allowing seamless and efficient logistics management.

By breaking down the logistics process into modular components, businesses can easily mix and match services, enabling seamless integration of different parts of the supply chain. This innovative approach allows for a more efficient and cost-effective logistics strategy.

Why Use Modular?

The benefits of adopting modular services in logistics are numerous:

  • Flexibility

Businesses can adapt and tailor their logistics supply chain to meet their needs. This adaptability is especially crucial in industries with seasonal fluctuations or rapidly changing market conditions.

  • Cost-Efficiency

With modular services, companies can avoid unnecessary expenses by selecting only the required services. This solution prevents the burden of investing in an entire logistics package, which may include services irrelevant to their particular business model.

  • Scalability

As businesses grow, their logistics needs may change. Modular services provide the scalability required to accommodate business expansion without significant overhauls in the supply chain.

  • Speed and Responsiveness

Modular services enable faster response times and streamlined processes since each component operates independently, reducing dependencies and potential bottlenecks.

How to Use Modular?

To take full advantage of our modular services, we have outlined an L-Parcel step-by-step guide to help you seamlessly navigate through the process:

1. Signing Into Luwjistik Account: To get started, go to Luwjistik’s website here. Click the Login button and log in with your Luwjistik Account.

2. Connecting to a Network Partner in the Marketplace: Once logged in, you will be directed to the marketplace. You can connect with our extensive network of trusted partners in the marketplace. These partners offer various services, from the first-mile to last-mile delivery.

3. Setting Up the L-Control: After connecting with a network partner, set up the L-Control by navigating to the More option in the toolbar. L-Control aims to gain visibility and control over your logistics operations. This central dashboard allows you to manage and monitor all supply chain aspects seamlessly. For assistance in setting up your L-Control, you can refer to our guide available here.

4. Creating an Order: With the L-Control in place, you can create orders based on your specific requirements. If you are sending a B2C shipment, you can go to L-Parcel to create an order.

5. Packing the Shipment: After creating the order, securely pack all items to prepare the shipment. This step ensures your goods are ready for transportation. For assistance with packing, please refer to our guide here.

6. Downloading the Shipping Label: To download a B2C Shipping label, navigate to the "Order" table within L-Parcel and click on the "Download Label" button. Choose the label you wish to download and proceed with the download.

Note:

If you want to send your B2B shipment, please refer to our L-Freight guides here.

As a client using our modular services, you can choose from the following options to design your logistics supply chain:

  • First Mile: The initial leg of the logistics journey, encompassing the transportation of goods from the point of origin to a distribution centre or a transportation hub.

  • Freight Forwarder: Facilitating the transportation of goods from the distribution centre to the destination, either domestically or internationally.

  • Customs Clearance: Managing the legal and regulatory requirements for cross-border shipments, ensuring smooth and timely clearance through customs.

  • Last Mile: The final and crucial step, delivering goods directly to the end consumer's doorstep.

Our Modular service offers the flexibility of selecting your last-mile network partner based on their volume capability. For instance, you can designate partner A to handle the first 1000 kg of deliveries while partner B takes care of the following 1000kg.

This strategic approach proves especially beneficial during peak seasons, allowing you to manage shipment service level agreements (SLAs) effectively and ensure a seamless delivery experience for your customers.
